The Old Ghost Road
The most epic of multi day rides Aotearoa has to offer and one big adventure, but not for beginners!
This trail is 85km long and traverses from near Murchison area to the West Coast of our South Island
This is a trail and a tale of epic proportions whatever way you look at it. Built as a MTB trail it has now become popular as a long tramp!
With 6 huts along the way. you can plan to suit your ability, and you pay a flat rate no matter how many huts you stay in. However it is popular and so you have to book, especially the Ghost Lake and Specimen Point huts
Unlike many trails that are 4WD, this is a single track technical ride with exposed areas and steep bits, along with 300 steps at one point.
