Starry, starry nights
ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY
Capturing the night sky and the Milky Way is one of Marty’s canvasses for creativity, time out and mindfulness observing the incredible scale and beauty of the world beyond.
I’m a true photographer when it comes to the night sky and try to capture the reality as you really see it, not as the iphone enhances it and ai saturates it!
With the advent of digital photography and the improvement in phones and ai, so it is exciting how so many more people are enjoying the late night sights
Invariably where once you were on your own at 3am at Castle Hill, now you share paradise with others each in search of memories and images. So was was lonely has become a bit more social.
However with all this comes the post capture image enhancement and blending of images and more. Artworks of beauty are created and I admire them, but you don’t see the foreground like daylight when the sky is black! And the Aurora is pastel in colour tones not vivid and saturated!
Many people suffer FOMO feeling like they are missing out when images are posted, over processed by ai algorithms and I’m continually letting people in on what it is really like.
Enjoy my pics. I love the artworks too, but these pics are really like it is, and some made from up to 80 images stitched together!
